Objectives
  • At this level, the student can read, write, listen and speak French with little difficulty. 
  • One can make simple conversations pertaining to real-life situations with using present tense. 
  • One can enrich lot of vocabulary and explore many things related to French culture. 
  • The student can also aim for DELF-A1.
Syllabus
  1. The alphabets/vowels/consonants/sounds etc.
  2. The numbers-ordinal and cardinal.
  3. The days of the week and the months of the year.
  4. Regular verbs-( 3 groups-approximately 60 to 70)
  5. Irregular verbs-( approximately 25 verbs)
  6. Pronominal verbs (reflexive).
  7. The different types of adjectives : qualifying/interrogative/possessive.
  8. The prepositions.
  9. The modal verbs like can, should, must, have to, ought to, may, might, be able to etc.
  10. How to make negative sentences and how to make questions in 3 different ways.
  11. The various types of pronouns-Subject/Direct object and Disjunctive.
  12. The different types of articles-Indefinite/definite/contracted/partitive with nouns.
  13. The gender of nouns-Masculin/Feminin.
  14. The singular and plural of nouns.
