Objectives
At this level, the student can learn to:
  • introduce himself, describe and define places, people, things, climate, weather, etc.
  • make simple conversations related to shopping, asking and giving personal information.
  • express intentions, motivation, leisure activities, existence, and location.
  • read, write, listen and speak Spanish with little difficulty.
Syllabus
  1. Greetings, numbers, the letters of the alphabet, letters and their sounds.
  2. The days of the week and the months of the year.
  3. The gender and number: Masculine / Feminine, Singular / Plural.
  4. The articles – Indefinite/definite, Personal pronouns.
  5. Nationalities and Professions, adjectives describing people, workplaces.
  6. Regular verbs ending with “ar, er, ir”.
  7. Irregular verbs like llamarse, tener, ser, estar, querer, ir, etc.
  8. Question words, basic prepositions.
  9. Uses of “por, para, porque, por qué, hay”.
  10. Quantifiers : muy, mucho/a/s/as.
  11. Demonstrative adjectives, tener que + infinitive.
  12. Colours, clothes, everyday items.
  13. Qué + noun, cuál / cuáles.
